About This Test

The ANA test by Immunofluorescence Assay detects anti-nuclear antibodies in the blood that the immune system produces to target cell nuclei, potentially indicating autoimmune disorders. The test identifies autoantibodies that specifically target antigens within the nucleus of cells, including DNA, histones, and other nuclear proteins.

Used For

Diagnose autoimmune disorders including Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Sjögren's Syndrome. Investigate unexplained symptoms such as joint pain, skin rashes, fatigue, muscle weakness. Recommended for suspected autoimmune diseases with family history and monitoring cases.
