Analyzes fetal DNA in mother's blood for chromosomal screening

About This Test

Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is a highly advanced screening test performed during pregnancy to detect chromosomal abnormalities by analyzing fetal DNA fragments in maternal blood. The screening has over 99% sensitivity for Down syndrome detection, can be performed as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy, and is non-invasive, carrying no miscarriage risk unlike amniocentesis or CVS.

Used For

Detect Down syndrome (Trisomy 21), Edwards syndrome (Trisomy 18), Patau syndrome (Trisomy 13), sex chromosome abnormalities, microdeletions and other rare chromosomal conditions. Recommended for pregnant women, particularly those 35+ years old, with abnormal ultrasound findings, family history of genetic disorders, or pregnancies via assisted reproduction.
